ClassicPress Options
ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.
One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I'll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.
This week for ClassicPress I have:
News:
NO real news this week seems to be a general lull but am sure some will appear soon.
ClassicPress Plugins
Insult Generator
from Azurecurve
https://development.azurecurve.co.uk/classicpress-plugins/insult-generator/
The Lowdown:
While this is a great little plugin to have some fuin with on your site it is lacking in a couple things. The instructions could be a bit more clear on usage and for may users out there they may not always know the formatting for short codes to do it manually. The readme doc should contain all the necessary formatting in it on the usage of the plugin.
It could also use an easy place to get in and edit the insults.
Once you get it installed it works quite well and add a little bit of fun to your site.
Rating 3 Dragons.

I look forward to the day they have their own repository. I can still recall WP when it had a small repository.

Valentine’s Day Plugins
https://wordpress.org/plugins/valentines-day/
Valentine’s Day Hearts
https://wordpress.org/plugins/valentines-day-floating-hearts/
The Lowdown:
this is a pair of hearts you can use on your website for Valentine's day mostly yo annoy your visitors with falling hearts and music notes. But if you in a bored kinda mood this would be the thing to use to liven up your site.
Both plugins work quite well even though they have not been updated in years. Add a little love to your web site.
Rating for both is 3 Dragons

File Manager
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-file-manager/
The Lowdown:
This is the first of several file manager plugins I am looking at over the next week as I am on a project to setup a site to allow my client to be able to upload files and then create and easy to share link out for that file. What is needed is the ability to limit where files can be uploaded and by who using a web interface as they are not users of FTP. It also needs an easy step to get a link to the active file foir sharing to specific people to view the end product in the controled website site enviroment.
This plugin fits most of the bill so far but may need the pro version to complete the tasks needed. at this point it is looking pretty good for controls if you buy the pro version. the free version is just enough to see the main functionality of it and samples of the pro bit.

Lazy Load Elementor Background Images
https://wordpress.org/plugins/lazy-load-background-images-for-elementor/
The lowdown:
If your using Elementor and using background images in your designs then you may want this simple plugin may help with site loading speed. It simple add some javascript that loads the background image as you scroll down the page instead of all at once as the page loads up.
A simple plugin just install and activate.
