We are now at 58 weeks and Beltane is upon us this weekend, so get out and enjoy the fire ceremony. Light a fire back under your life and realize the light half of the year is here.
With great appreciation for the No Agenda Show for their inspiration of ideas and the occasional stolen sound clip.
This is a value for value show and I look forward to everyone providing some value back.
Before I get started, you will want to hang around to the end of the show for our Q & A segment with Amber…. and to those listening on the podcast, you may want to check out the YouTube version which has some great discussions before the show starts…

Ambers' Rant:
This is #17 of 52 episodes for 2021. Its Episode 509, and it is officially Spring! The kids are trying to keep pet ants, moths, and caterpillars; the spiders are hatching inside leaving you with over 200 babies to vacuum up – all the critters are multiplying thanks to the new warmth, and it's time to shoo them all out of your house!
. . . Or maybe that's just my place.
Either way, the warmth in the air is causing the reckless and oddities to come out of hiding! Right now is a great time to remove the cobwebs (and anything else that may have entered against your will) from your mind! Grab yourself a drink, and tell your kids to go catch fish or frogs! Trying to find frogs at this time of year should keep them busy for hours.
Never be be afraid to tell your kids to bugger off for an hour – it's totally allowed to demand they not bother you unless they are broken, dying, or bleeding for the entirety of the hour! Send them outside with a can of nails, a hammer, and some old wood, and tell them to make a fort. Let them drive the neighbors nuts with the hammering while you catch up on some *you time*.
Remember, remove all social media and main stream news during your 1 hour!
Rinse and repeat as often as needed.
We have some news from the world of WordPress for you today as well as some great plugins.

So, there's a lot of news that doesn't tend to make it onto the show. The reason for this, is because no-one really wants to listen to us going through it all one by one.
I've decided to add in the extra stuff as it's own section. I will read off the titles, but I won't be diving into it. If you think it sounds interesting, you can head on over to the show notes or newsletter and check it out!
– If there is news that I missed that you feel is important, feel free to send me a link at amber@wppro.ca, and I will do my best to add it to the next show for this new section.

ClassicPress Options
ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites, runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.
One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I'll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.
This week for ClassicPress I have:
Just a note for my ClassicPress listeners please send me info to help keep the ClassicPress section full.

John's Plugin
WP Mail Logging by MailPoet
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-logging/
The Lowdown:
Keeping track of the emails sent for your WordPress website could be important if you are running an E-store or a membership site. You need to know if the emails for invoices password resets and more are going out the door. This plugin helps you to determine if the emails are leaving your site, after that its up to the internet to get them delivered; much like your local post office.
This is a pretty useful diagnostic tool.

Amber's Plugin
RegistrationMagic – Custom Registration Forms and User Login
https://wordpress.org/plugins/custom-registration-form-builder-with-submission-manager/
My Plugins have a theme today. These are the best plugins I was able to find for setting up a separate login for you, from your guests.
This first one allows you to create a pop up for users to sign in with your choice of pictures to represent your site in the pop up – it also allows you to choose the colour of the sign in area. You can turn on Captcha, set up how the email notifications are set, payments, organize the user accounts – there are a lot of options!
Unfortunately, unless you are willing to go pro, most of these awesome little sections have a lot of bits that are blocked by the Pro option.
This is a great option if you are looking to separate your sign, in from your users sign in.
Extra Note – I noticed when I moved onto the next plugin that I had User Registration and User Profile active – this plugin seems to play really nice with others. That is a major bonus.

John's plugin
All-in-One WP Migration
https://wordpress.org/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/
The Lowdown:
Is it time to move to a better host but you have found yourself limited even further at your current host or you want to make an escape before you tell your current host that you're leaving.
This is a plugin to help you get moved when you do not have the full cPanel or FTP access to the site. Simply install, then choose your export options and you can send the backup to any of the popular export locations. You can then use this file to do a manual restore or use the plugin to restore the site.
It says it will work on almost all major providers with the most restrictions on resources.

Amber's plugin
User Registration & User Profile – Profile Builder
https://wordpress.org/plugins/profile-builder/
This one moves a little slowly when loading up the options pages I found, though that may just be my computer. The options are great, they don't put the options for Pro in with the free options; they actually put them in their own little section so you don't try and use them while setting up.
They have the option ‘add the profile builder' from the Elementor interface. Just add a form widget to a page through Elementor, if you use Elementor! Pretty useful.
Now, this plugin uses short codes to do things.
There is a specific short code to add a front-end login form, and another to add a logout function.
Shortcodes to restrict content, etc. They give you all of the short codes, but getting them in to each of the pages could be a little daunting for those that are inexperienced.
Once a person registers, there will be a pop up for them to login. They are able to set up their own profile from the front end, and you have the ability to control whether or not they get to keep their accounts.
This could be a very useful plugin for those who have social sites.

Web 2.0 Directory Plugin
https://www.salephpscripts.com/wordpress_directory/demo/
https://wordpress.org/plugins/web-directory-free/
The lowdown:
If you have ever considered making a business directory this is a plugin for you. They do offer a free version which can get you started to see if it is for you. The Pro version is quite affordable though and makes building out a full blown directory that your visitors can contribute to a decently easy task.

Amber's Plugin
WP User Manager – User Profile Builder & Membership
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-user-manager/#description
This is a pretty cool plugin. This one even allows you to add ‘Excluded Usernames' in the login settings! I could see that being very useful.
The main feature I was searching for was the pop up login – and this has it. You get to set up the form that pops up, and once a person has signed up, they will get their own sign in pop up to login.
It also allows you to add your logo to the signing up page, to restrict content for certain users, customize redirects, and this plugin plays really well with others as well.
There are a lot of options with this plugin, a lot of ways to personalize your login and sign up pages.
Once you have this going, it will allow you to have full control over the forms, gives you a site member area, and allows the users to mange their user data. So, create a profile for their account.
The pro features are pretty nifty, but this does allow you to have what you need initially. This is a good option if you need a little more control for free.

What is Netword? I have seen a few plugins that talk about being able to log in from their own Netword, though there is no definition for the word. (https://www.wordnik.com/words/netword) And there are sites that sell you Networds, and sites that talk about logging into Netword… I don't know what it IS though…
How come when one signs into a WP site, you will get an “ERROR: Security checks failed.” message with a login you KNOW is sound, then you try a second login, and it works.
On one of my sites, I ALWAYS get this error with the first login I choose – no matter which I choose. But then I choose a second login, any login, and it's fine.
This is from a blackhole report I received. Could you go through this and explain what the ones I made notes on mean? I erased some information for privacy.
