With great appreciation for the No Agenda Show for their inspiration of ideas and the occasional stolen sound clip.
This is a value for value show and I look forward to everyone providing some value back.

Ambers' Rant:
This is #20 of 52 episodes for 2021. Its Episode 512, and it appears we are going to get a little bit of freedom back! Not sure for how long, but the CDC has recently announced that there is no need for masks anymore! The big box stores are dropping the mask mandates, and the media is talking about how to ‘re-wire your brain' so that you can more easily accept ‘the mask-less' as a non threat!
I hope everyone out there is able to get out and breathe some fresh air! The weather is rather unpredictable, but that's really no biggy; just bring an umbrella and a sweater wherever you go, and you're good to go! Along with those two weather preparation items, why not bring a book, or some music? Find a place in the great outdoors somewhere to sit back and chill, catch up on a podcast or even just look up and see if you can catch one of those pyramid shaped UFO's that are taking the internet's by storm!
Just remember to stay away from the media for a little while at least once a day.
Rinse and repeat as often as needed.
We have some news from the world of WordPress for you today as well as some great plugins.
News this week:
Not news, but a warning to those who listen about old tricks being used in spam again. Recently I have been receiving on my honeypot emails, simple emails saying that I have exceeded my allocated space please click below to fix.
WPTavern discusses vax stats requirement – Heads up if you are wanting to join a WordCamp in person, you may be required to give your private medical information, stating whether or not you have had the vax. Not cool in my opinion.
Rebranding Plugins may be the new fad – Next up for Plugin Rebranding and Repurposing: Profile Press Plugin! It is now known as: WP User Avatar Plugin! This plugin is now full fledged user registration, profile, login, and membership management plugin rather then single purpose custom-avatar solution plugin.

Yeah. Us too.”

ClassicPress Options
ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites, runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.
One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I'll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.
This week for ClassicPress I have:

Easy Appointments
https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-appointments/#description
Lowdown:
I was really interested in this! Hoping that it would turn out to be totally awesome – and then I downloaded and activated it, and I fooled around a little bit with the plugin.
Now, if you have few employees and easy to set up schedules for them, this will work great for you!
If you have the sort of business where the employee simply picks up the next available job once they are done their current project… maybe not so much.
You need to be able to name every single employee, put down their hours available, their days available, and you need to be able to link every single appointment to specific employees.
You also cannot create anything at all until all employees, their available hours and dates, are all put into the system. Would be a different story if they added an ‘N/A' option though.
The options in this are rather restrictive.
There is also the aspect of needing to know CSS in order to get this to look ‘pretty' in your site, if look and feel is important to you.
And there is an issue with the pro version not offering much more than the free version.
However, if you need this strict of a set up for your employees and times they are available, and you don't mind the look and feel of this form, this will be the perfect plugin for you! Just don't bother with the Pro version until they expand upon it a little more to make it worth the money.

Amber's plugin
Fish Tail
https://wordpress.org/plugins/fish-tail/#who%20inspired%20the%20creation%20of%20this%3F
Lowdown:
This is a fun new plugin! Once you activate this, you wind up with a small school of fish that follow the pointer around the screen! It's a lot of fun!
The fish bounce off of the walls, and if you have more than one screen and your pointer goes off screen, they just sorta hang out on the side of the screen where your pointer vanished, waiting for you to get back. lol
It's a lot of fun!
Also, bonus, the fish do not go onto the header, or anything you have on your page that is not the background. So they don't interfere with the information itself on your pages.
Unfortunately, they are a little glitchy, they don't work with WordPress 5.6.4, and you lose them when you scroll down the page. They just sort of hang out in the top section of your page, no following you all the way down.
Loads of fun though!
I really hope that these guys are able to keep this plugin going, maybe expand upon it and create other little shapes to follow the mouse! So much fun, and I think a great idea!
Unfortunately, because of the glitches, I am only rating this at –

Mail logging – WP Mail Catcher
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-mail-catcher/
This is a great plugin to help you diagnose any issues with the outgoing email from your website. It creates a log and tells you of success or failure if an email is leaving the site. You can also see what emails are being sent out, a great way to see if your site is generating any spam so.
A great tool but has some options for premium so have to give it a

User Admin Simplifier
https://wordpress.org/plugins/user-admin-simplifier/
Lowdown:
I honestly wasn't sure about this plugin when I looked at the description, it seems like one of those so basic as to be non-useful ones.
Then I tested it out and was very pleasantly surprised!
This is indeed a very simple plugin, easy to both understand and use, and it is also very effective!
Once activated, you go to the settings for this plugin under the Tools option, and than you are able to choose any of the users.
From there, you are able to disable any of the menu's, sub-menu's, even the admin bar from their home page!
This also works on multi-site! Just make sure you are in the correct site dashboard, and you're golden!
Bonus, totally free! Gotta love the super useful freebies!

Do they get hacked? If so, how do you know when they have been hacked?
