WP Gallery Custom Links 1.9.0

The Lowdown:

This came about due to wanting to use a theme that used gallery post types and needing to link the images elsewhere. It is a great little plugin to allow you to create galleries with the WordPress gallery creator and then to link those images out to other pages such as affiliate link or other sites.

WP Security Audit Log 0.5

The Lowdown:

This is a great plugin for tracking everything that happens on your website. You can set it to track user activity, page and post creation deletions, user profile changes what plugins are installed and deleted who installed and deleted them it monitors all the system activity and more. It keeps a running log you can limit by number of lines or by date. all in all it is a pretty good tracking plugin and if you have more than one user doing stuff it might be a must for you. Or if it's just you it still might be a must if you are regularly changing stuff and want to see what you did just before you broke things.

Rating 5 Dragons.

 Login Security Solution 0.42.0

The Lowdown:

This is a nice little plugin to isure security on your website. It monitors logins, username and password strengths. It can notify you of breaches in your site. It can force users to use a strong password. You can age out passwords. Limit old password usage. It will auto log users off after a set amount of time the default is 15 min so you might rethink that.

WordPress Conditional Content

You can place conditional content between ifshortcodes, and use its attributes to define conditions. The content between the shortcodes will only be displayed if all defined conditions are met.

Example:

Defining conditions

Conditions are defined by setting the attributes of the shortcode in the following format:

[if <type>=<condition>]
Conditional content
[/if]

A basic example:

[if qs=”product-type:shoes”]
Thank you for buying shoes
[/if]

The text in this example will only be displayed if the current URL has a GET paramater of “product-type” with the value “shoes”.

Inherit Featured Image

If no featured image has been defined for a post / page / custom post type, then the plugin assigns a featured image from the parent, grand-parent, etc.

The plugin hooks into the ‘get_post_metadata' WordPress filter, so featured images are assigned dynamically — disable the plugin to remove the dynamically assigned featured images.

The plugin also uses the WordPress wp_cache_get() and update_meta_cache() functions to integrate fully with core WordPress functionality.
