Johns Rant:
This is #35 of 52 51 episodes for 2020. Its Episode 476 and the it seems that Western US and in particular California has turned Orange. Since the Brewery Overlook is facing South as the sun came up this morning there was an Orange Glow coming from the US we are after all only 20 miles from the US. I Guess all the West has gone full Orange man bad.
Now is a good time to find yourself an Oasis like the one at The Rogues Tavern someplace where you can check out from the world and unplug. We are now 36 weeks into 2020 and 25 weeks of the Rona, Masks are all the rage now, be sure you have one stuffed in your pocket ready to go. Just think you can use them for TP if you get desperate. School is starting up again here today and I couldn't be happier to see my little human resources off to the learning pods to find out how the world is doing.
The new narrative might be breaking down due to some bad code. It seems something is slipping in the Matrix and people are waking up. Time to get prepared. The new programming was close to completion but something seems to have slipped in the last week and the M5M is finding it hard to keep the population scared, but have no fear, WP Plugins A to Z is here to lift your soul.
What you can do to help your soul:
Minimize or eliminate your M5M exposure,
Work on your own little part of the world to make it a better place to be.
Inspire others around you to do the same.
Don't worry about things you cannot control.
Stop accepting and doing things that are not be your best interest.
Work in your best interest while at the same time respecting and helping others, the rewards will follow.

ClassicPress Options
ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites, runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.
One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I'll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.
This week for ClassicPress I have:
ClassicPress Plugins
OpenLiteSpeed ClassicPress

John's plugin
Before After Image Slider (AMP)
https://wordpress.org/plugins/before-after-image-slider-amp/
The Lowdown:
This is a pretty interesting plugin although it does seem limited to a single image comparison. It is pretty good and seems to work well.

Amber's Plugin
Restrict User Access
https://wordpress.org/plugins/restrict-user-access/
The Lowdown:
This plugin restricts anonymous users from access your choice of pages or posts.
Description:
Say that there is a group personal thread, or things on a site that you just don't want people to see unless they are willing to log in for one reason or another.
This plugin is what you need.
It gives you the option to choose what pages, or posts, or anything on your site that you can restrict. You can plug in as many as you want, and you can restrict to logged in, administrator only, not logged in only, editor only, author only – you get the idea.
Now, this plugin doesn't have an upgrade, but it does have add-ons and the add-ons seem pretty decent! Although each one costs $29.
The add-ons are really just more things you can restrict. So, you can certainly go without!
If restriction is something you absolutely need, than this is a good plugin for you to grab.

John's plugin
Stock Charts by Public.com
https://wordpress.org/plugins/stock-charts-by-public-com/
The Lowdown:
This is a pretty nice plugin. Once installed all you have to do is click the button, search for the stock chart you want then add it. You can also enter the tracking info they ask for which might give more options but out of the box it works pretty good.

Amber's plugin
WP-Optimize – Clean, Compress, Cache.
https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-optimize/
The Lowdown:
This plugin is designed to make your site fast and efficient.
Description:
This plugin seems to work really well! It seemed to quicken the site I tested it on, even though there wasn't much to do on the site I tested it on; I still noticed a bit of a difference.
I like the settings options – very easy to customize, and a lot of options. Also very straightforward.
It even gives you the option to do a page cache immediately – and you can turn it off whenever you want.
It does have an upgrade, but it actually gives you everything you need in the free version, so you won't find yourself missing anything too much just sticking with the free version.
It works, it's easy to personalize, you can set it up to work autonomously at a time of your choosing, and it gives you all the basics you need to get started with the free version.
However, it does still have an upgrade.

John's plugin
Simple Login Limit & Protect
https://wordpress.org/plugins/simple-login-limit-protect/
The Lowdown:
This is a pretty straightforward plugin to help protect your site and minimize the admin support you have to give to your users. It detects failed login attempts and the locks access with ever increasing lockout time the more failed attempts there are. It has ways for legitimate users to know how long they are locked out and and ability to reset the password and try again. All in all not too bad of a plugin.

Amber's Plugin
Admin Notices Manager
https://wordpress.org/plugins/admin-notices-manager/
The Lowdown:
This is a neat plugin. It moves all of your admin notices into it's own little page, which you access on the top, next to your account profile picture on the upper right hand side.
Description
I don't think WordPress wants you to find this though, because I had to search through 3 pages before I was able to find it on the plugin download page. I spelled it correctly, caps and all, yet it was still well hidden.
Unless perhaps this is something that happens often and I just haven't come across it yet?
There are no settings or anything, but you don't really need them.
Whenever a new notice comes up, you don't get a pop up or anything, you just have a little red number appear in the new tab.
Best thing about it, it's totally free!
Very useful, and totally free! No upgrade!
