Yes, I am doing the show by myself this week as Amber is not feeling well, and no its not the Rona just a bug. People do get sick for other reasons though you would not know that listening to the news these days. After all a man crashes his motorcycle but dies because of the Rona.
This is #49 of 52 51 opps 52 (forgot leap year) episodes for 2020. Its Episode 489 and we are now only 3 weeks away from the end of the year and the show has moved into new directions. It looks like we will survive into the new year. We are now 49 weeks into 2020 and 38 weeks of the Rona. The world still has not found its collective brain and insanity abounds.
Now more than ever it is time to start claiming your life and sanity back along with your health…..
If you want your health, life and sanity back now is the time to turn away from Social Media and the M5M folks. Claim back your health, sanity and life. Go out into the real world without a useless paper mask (or in some cases a pointless bandanna), meet and talk to real humans, relax and do not be afraid.
Find yourself an Oasis like the one at The Rogues Tavern, a place where you can check out from the world, unplug and recharge your soul.
Heal Your Soul in a few short weeks by:
Minimizing or eliminate your M5M exposure,
Stop using FaceCrack (I have not looked at mine in over 3 months and never felt better)
Make your own little part of the world a better place to be.
Inspire others around you to do the same.
Don't worry about things you cannot control.
Stop accepting and doing things that are not be your best interest.
Work in your best interest while at the same time respecting and helping others, the rewards will follow.

News this week:
As you may have heard, PHP 8 dropped recently and it’s a huge change. With lots of new features and improvements, there are many breaking changes. The WordPress Core team has been busy getting WordPress 5.6 ready and have released it with aims to fully support PHP 8. However, that doesn’t mean it will be safe to flip your sites over to PHP 8. All your plugins and themes will need to fully support PHP 8 as well.
If you’re a plugin or theme developer, you should have a look at Jonathan Bossenger’s article Getting Your WordPress Plugins and Themes Ready for PHP 8.

ClassicPress Options
ClassicPress is a fast growing fork of WordPress that is starting to come into its own. ClassicPress is focused on Business Websites, runs fast and is looking pretty good. There are a few plugins specifically for ClassicPress and all plugins for WordPress 4.9.9 work well on it. I do believe it has a future.
One thing I am looking forward to in the ClassicPress World is the expansion of the number of ClassicPress specific plugins and their own repository. Currently there are not a lot of ClassicPress specific plugins but I do know it is going to grow and I'll have to expand this segment then. Who knows, it could take over the whole show.

The Lowdown:
If you're managing a few images per posts and just need to make some minor adjustments from time to time this may be a plugin for you. It allows you to resize and re-crop an image right in your WordPress dashboard. It looks to be a pretty useful tool you may want to check out.

The Lowdown:
This is a great tool when it is needed, what it does is allow you to create multiple side bars with special widgets that you can place on a single page/post or multiple pages/posts with just a short code. It does come in handy from time to time for special cases. I have used a similar plugin for one off cases. This one looks to be better than the last one I used so will run them to the top

The Lowdown:
Well this is an interesting idea and I suppose it could do well provide you gain an audience that will kick out some cash in this manner.
How it appears to work is by locking all or part of your podcast behind a paywall. Tough sell in the world of free podcasts. The ”Value for Value' model works best in my opinion. For some this does works but for most it is a pipe dream.
