Another reason you may have to turn off the rest api on your site you can use the “turn off REST API plugin for that and it look like Automatic may have to start thinking about turning off the api and setting switches to allow certian things though.

The lowdown:
Time to bring forward a few old favourites and this is one of them for me and all sites I have to do content on. What it does for you is create a new box in your post page that allows you to upload all your media content and then continue on with complewting your post without having to use the add media button.

WordPress File Monitor Plus

This one you can find on the WP Plugins A to Z store, it is a pretty old plugin but still works well. It looks like the dev has abonded it but I still use it on many sites to know when things change.
